Diagnosis of vertigo

The human vestibular system is located in the inner ear next to the cochlea, behind the eardrum and the middle ear.

In order to investigate the cause of vertigo in the vestibular organ, we can perform a computer-assisted balance test (videonystagmography) in addition to examining the hearing organ and auditory nerve.

Thanks to state-of-the-art medical technology, we have access to glasses with built-in infrared cameras. These can be used to record the movements of the eyes as an expression of the activity of the vestibular organs on a computer-assisted, site-specific basis.
